Scenario

A university was required to improve energy efficiency while still being able to provide customizable control of the various lighting systems found in a lecture hall. The installation costs of the new controls needed to be kept low. The system had to be reliable and comply with new environmental regulations.

Solution

ILLUMRA self-powered wireless lighting controls were chosen because they reduce energy waste and because they eliminate a significant amount of materials and labor during installation. ILLUMRA room controllers allow different buttons to activate different lighting scenes, depending on the type of presentation being given in the classroom. They are even smart enough to turn off the lights when the room is not in use.
