Under cabinet lighting with wireless control.

Scenario

A homeowner wanted to add under cabinet lights to the home after the kitchen had been built.Unfortunately, running wires to a new switch was not a practical solution.

Solution

ILLUMRA self-powered wireless switches, and plug-in dimmer/relays solved the problem and allowed the homeowner to control the new under cabinet luminaries from several locations throughout the kitchen. Each plug in dimmer/relay was simply plugged into an outlet such as one that is built in to the cabinets, normally used for appliances. The new lights were then plugged into the dimmer/relay. The switches were attached to the surface of the walls, without cutting into them. The system is compatible with dimmable bulbs and on/off fluorescent bulbs.
